ARLINGTON, Virginia - Govolution LLC, a leading provider of electronic payment and billing solutions, reported record first quarter 2009 results. The company reported its largest number of new deployments of its Velocity Payment System solution. Despite a lagging economy, Velocity sales continued to grow. Sales growth is attributed to the company’s direct sales efforts and an expansion of Velocity’s reseller channels.

Govolution’s distribution channels include some of the largest banks and processors in the U.S. as well as a network of industry-specific software providers. Sales have been boosted by Govolution’s ability to provide industry-specific, best-in-class solutions for its target industries. The Velocity Payment System, Govolution’s premier product line, continues its rapid penetration into key vertical markets including healthcare, education, utilities, insurance and government.

Govolution’s commitment to data security, PCI compliance, product development and customer support has changed the competitive landscape in their markets. Demand for next generation electronic payment technology and electronic billing solutions continues to expand. The Velocity Payment System enables merchants to lower transaction costs, increase payment options to customers and streamline data flows to back office systems. Velocity also enables merchants to reduce billing costs while offering 24-hour, self-service account management for their customers through the Web or by phone.

Velocity has also enabled merchants to reduce operating costs while “going green.” Reducing the environmental impact of traditional paper-based billing and statement generation, Velocity electronic billing and self service bill presentment enables merchants to offer customers the ability to “opt-out” of paper bills and statements. Resultant benefits include lower staffing requirements, as well as cost savings on printing and postage.
